Mary Beth Buckley has been hired as the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) for Lincoln Savings Bank (LSB). From Birmingham, AL Buckley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from Xavier University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati.
In her role, she will be responsible for supporting the Chief Risk Officer with the execution of the Enterprise Risk Management Plan and building out an ERM Office that will further strengthen the risk management practices and oversight of LSB, connecting community banking with fintech banking through key strategic partnerships and platforms. She is excited to be a part of a community bank where she can help support the community meet their financial goals.
“I happened into the finance industry many years ago when I was looking to change jobs from a small company with little chance for advancement”, said Buckley. “That first foray into banking opened my eyes to the vast opportunities available within banking beyond the traditional branch operations.”
Buckley was drawn to this position because of the digital strategy that LSB and LSBX are pursuing to expand the Bank’s reach and the opportunity to help strengthen the risk foundation as the strategy is being executed. “My vision is to be a valuable resource to all areas of the Bank in managing their risks and to help build a culture where Risk Management is viewed as a partner in developing the strategy and business direction of the Bank,” says Buckley.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, walking local trails, and watching cooking and baking shows. She is also a sports enthusiast and enjoys following Auburn University, Xavier University, Cincinnati Bengals and the Green Bay Packers.
